Driven by their passion for creativity and collaboration, they sought to work alongside the best in the industry, building a team of skilled professionals who inspire and support one another. Their goal was to foster a culture of shared purpose—a collective where everyone is encouraged to bring their unique talents to the table, support each other’s growth, and together, turn ambitious dreams into impactful media.

We’re two locals from the Shuswap who are passionate about crafting exceptional media.

Shalon Clarke
OWNER

Shalon Clarke has a deep passion for creative marketing that began during her time working for lululemon in Australia. This passion grew as she transitioned into the online marketing world and later into the fast-paced Real Estate marketing industry. Shalon thrives on connecting people to brands by telling compelling stories through online media.

When she’s not crafting engaging videos for Real Estate or helping others bring their brand stories to life, Shalon immerses herself in the great outdoors. She loves exploring the stunning Shuswap area year-round, enjoying paddleboarding, hiking, and sledding.

A strong sense of community and a desire to contribute meaningfully inspired Shalon to establish Shuswap Media Co. “I saw a need to help people make the leap into marketing their businesses and brands online through powerful media storytelling,” she shares.

Breen Laughlin
OWNER

Breen Laughlin is passionate about storytelling. She loves to connect with an audience to evoke an emotional, yet lasting response. Over a decade of experience as a marketer in diverse industries has further fueled her curiosity about consumer behavior.

She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Okanagan College in 2011 and later attended BCIT in 2014, where she pursued a New Media & Web Design program. This educational background has equipped her with a strong foundation in marketing and design.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her dogs, cats, and horse, and coaching and playing Roller Derby. As a co-owner of Shuswap Media Co, Breen continues to refine her skills to capture meaningful moments through her lens and further developing her storytelling abilities.
